Random and Misc Bill Frisell Tidbits and Information
Wire magazine Nov. 1996 reports that Bill Frisell and Marty Ehrlich appeared at the London Jazz Festival November 8-17, 1996 with the Creative Jazz Orchestra performing the music of Julius Hemphill
On the subject of radio playing Bill Frisell music, Bill said in Oct 1999 in Downbeat  On "All Things Considered"..."That's where it gets played the most because there's someone in there who likes it."... "But certainly not on the mainstream jazz stations. Maybe one song that I played on one of Paul Motion's records or something, but even that would be streching it."
